CASE DEFINITION: Malaria is a parasitic disease that is cause by a parasite known as Plasmodium which is caused by the bite of infected female anopheles mosquitoes.
TYPES OF PLASMODIUM PARASITES:
1. Plasmodium falciparum(more common in africa)
2. Plasmodium vivax(rare)
3. Plasmodium ovale and
4. Plasmodium malariea.
It quite unfortunate that that malaria infection is regarded as a minor ailments by some people.So every body should help and eradicate malaria breading foci in our environments.
